Jan and Oscar Foundation
On 26th December 2004, a tsunami hit southern Asia causing thousands of casualties. Among them, 12 year-old Jan (a pupil at Champittet) and his little brother Oscar, 8 years old.
In a show of solidarity, Collège Champittet offered to support a humanitarian project that pays tribute to these two children. On June 29th 2005, the Jan & Oscar Foundation was formally established.
The Foundation’s objective is to help, support and develop children’s education in Thailand. From its headquarters at Collège Champittet, it actively contributes to restore and build new schools. Collège Champittet is committed to helping the Foundation in many ways: by putting Champittet’s infrastructures at the Foundation’s disposal so that operating costs can be minimized, therefore maximizing the redistribution of donations directly to the projects.
